HOW TO APPLY

SCI MEDICINE FELLOWSHIP

Certification in SCI Medicine is offered to diplomats of all ABMS member boards, particularly from specialties directly related to the care of persons with spinal cord injury whose diplomats wish to be certified in SCI medicine (e.g. anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, neurological surgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, plastic surgery, and urology). 

The positions are filled through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).  There is a common application that is used for applicants. Applicants should send an application form with the following to the Program Coordinator Michelle Trinh at phung.trinh@va.gov.

Applications are accepted starting April through September. 

Interviews are conducted from August to October.

Current CV 

USMLE/COMLEX Score Reports 

Copy of Medical School Diploma 

Personal Statement 

Photo (optional, but helpful)
