The Stanford Physicial Medicine and Rehabiliatition Division offers several fellowships including Spine, Sports Medicine and Spinal Cord Injury.

Interventional Spine & Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship

The Interventional Spine & Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship is based at The Stanford University Spine Center, a leading multidisciplinary center for the research and treatment of spine disorders. Fellows will gain exposure to a broad range of spine disorders and learn from a dynamic group of spine experts who are recognized leaders in their specialty fields.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Spine Research Fellowship

The PM&R Spine Research Fellowship is located at The Stanford University Spine Center, a leading multidisciplinary center for research and treatment of spine disorders. We welcome our domestic and international colleagues to apply. This one-year research fellowship opportunity is available for individuals wanting to pursue an academic career in PM&R spine care. The fellow will gain valuable experience in areas of research, education, and clinical care from the fellowship director and from a diverse multispecialty group of academic spine faculty.

Primary Care Sports Medicine

The  Stanford University Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship is based at The Stanford Sports Medicine Center. The fellowship provides PM&R physicians with additional training in the academic field of sports medicine. The fellow will have extensive exposure to the management of sports-related medical and orthopaedic injuries and ailments, including the specialty Runners Clinic. The fellow will be exposed to the athletic experience and team coverage of elite NCAA and club sport athletes through regular clinics at the Stanford training room and student health center. The fellow will also have exposure in helping treat the disabled sports population at Palo Alto Veterans Hospital.

Spinal Cord Injury Fellowship

The Spinal Cord Injury Fellowship is based at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs hospital. Fellows get a diverse training a the VA hospital's spinal cord injury unit and in the clinic. Furthermore, the fellows will also rotate through the spinal cord injury unit at Santa Clara Valley Health Center and the unique and challenging rehabilitation trauma center.
